The route for the Olympics 2012 torchrelay has now been released, and its going to take a mammoth 70 days throughthe UK. 95% of people in the UK will live within 10 miles of its route.

TheLondon part of the Olympics 2012 torch relay looks like a random spaghettimonster, going through pretty much every single London borough including:

Harrow
Ealing
Haringey
Camden
Westminster
Wandsworth
Kingston
Lewisham
Bexley
Greenwich
Redbridge
Waltham Forest
and of course Newham

Thefinal leg of the torch relay to the Olympic stadium starts from Hampton CourtPalace on July 27th, a few good months after having being lit in Greece on May18th and going around the world. The Olympic Torch is going to be quite thetourist, visiting some of the UK’s biggest landmarks like Stonehenge, EdinburghCastle, and spend a night in the Tower of London.

Atotal of 8,000 torchbearers will carry the Olympic Flame. The Torch itself has8,000 circles, and stands 800mm high.

明年的5月19日到7月27日將是倫敦奧運聖火傳遞環繞全英國的期間，在這70天裡面，將有8000名聖火傳遞者加入遊行行列，聖火在每一天都會到達英國不同的城市或鄉鎮，讓全英國95%的民眾都有機會近距離觀賞聖火傳遞活動。

每次奧運開幕式的最高潮，就是點燃聖火這個環節。在2012倫敦奧運的開幕式，將由電影貧窮百萬富翁(SlumdogMillionaire)的英國導演Danny Boyle來擔任藝術總監，而這聖火台的造型，則是由英國知名設計師Thomas Heatherwick負責設計。

Thomas Heatherwick也是上海世博會英國館的建築設計師，他在今年3月底來台灣時告訴媒體，因為這奧運聖火實在是太重要的最高機密，所以他和同事必須要把所有的草圖、相關資料和通訊全部刪除，希望能保守這個秘密直到7月27日開幕式當天，讓全世界的觀眾都能有個驚喜。
