This booklet, "Twenty Favorite Recipes of Col. Harland Sanders" is not actually an "officially" published & released book. It is actually a "gift" item which was given away at Franchisees' restaurants after buying the Colonel's Original Recipe Chicken, back in the 50's and early 60's.

If your looking for THE secret recipe then you certainly won't find it here, however you will find a nice array of traditional, downhome, regular southern recipes, such as cakes, pecan/lemon pies, refrigerator rolls, "Kentucky" biscuits, and quite a few other traditional recipes which will take you back to what it must have been like to eat in the Colonel's very own restaurant in Corbin, Kentucky, all those years ago.

The copy I received is in very good condition (hardly been read I would guess), it has that aged "yellow" appearance, and to think that it survived someone's 1960's post-fried chicken, "greasy", fingers is quite a feat in this writer's opinion!

Interestingly, I have the book, I just wish I could still access the delicious chicken the original holder of this booklet would have tasted the day he picked it up off some restaurant onwer's counter... KFC USE to cook fine fried chicken, but unfortunately, since the Colonel's death in 1980, they have gradually gone downhill... But, I digress.

If your a collector, or if you simply want to relive the day's when the Colonel use to prepare and cook his own food (rather than the chemically-concocted mush they pass for food today), in his own kitchen, then this little booklet is definately for you!

美國肯德基下周一將透過臉書，獨家發表傳奇創辦人桑德斯（Harlan Sanders）上校的自傳，其中包含33道未曾曝光的食譜，供網友免費下載。

33道獨門祕方
這本傳記名為《桑德斯上校：原味名廚自傳》，是桑德斯在1966年撰寫，但該公司直到2011年才於檔案櫃中發現，內含33道其他「花俏食譜書中找不到的美式鄉村食物」。現在網友只要登入肯德基臉書，就可搶先下載其中2道，馬鈴薯餅和水蜜桃派。 

桑德斯1930年在美國肯塔基州開啟烹飪事業，1935年因烹飪成就，獲州長頒發榮譽上校頭銜。他以11種香料和香草調配出原味炸雞配方，擄獲全球炸雞迷的心。他開發的基本烹飪技術和配方，迄今全球115國1.7萬間肯德基連鎖餐廳仍在使用。桑德斯在1980年以90歲高齡辭世。
